I do not know how people live without some kind of water system or a bathroom. I would rather have a super narrow bed and inside water than a big wide bed with none. Also if you are going to live in a van buy LITHIUM... you will not regret lithium batteries. It's really not that hard to add at least a sink, then wire an RV Water Pump. Even the Water tanks used in commercial RV's are not that hard to find and hook up. In a DIY build it's pretty easy to purchase a cabinet and a drop in sink and figure out how to attach it to the rig. A small lithium battery can run a water pump on it's own for a very long time because you hardly ever turn it on. And the one thing that is most scary is no one seems to ever talk about being prepared for a MEDICAL EMERGENCY. You break an ankle in the"MIDDLE OF NOWHERE" then what do you do? How many Van Lifers have health insurance. Hard to say.... seldom talked about. Finally GET A DOG it's the best thing you can do for companionship and safety. Dogs can hear Bad Guys before they get near you.

I usually love watching your beautiful videos but I don’t enjoy seeing animals disturbed in their natural environment for no good reason, just so people can take a closer look at them 😢 The snake was quite happy minding it’s own business and it should have been left alone. Same for the caimen (I think that’s what it was but I stopped watching as soon as the guy had it round the neck.)

I lost my mom two years ago and the final few months was pretty much what you described. I suppose it does prepare us in a way.

I've decided on 3 must haves for my build. The first is a hydralic bed because I have a bad backnand I know I won't convert my seating area to a bed and backntona seating area every day & night. The 2nd is separation between the cab and the rest of the van, with a pocket door or some sort of way to enter and exit the cab without going outside. The final, is a full bathroom with a dry flush toilet. I know myself and I won't go number 2 in a public restroom. I once went a week without going when I was about 10 years old and almost ended up in the hospital. I'm OK with only showering once a week, but I can't work out and I just don't thinknthe gym membership is worth it for showering 4 times a month. I'm also afraid I would end up not wanting to shower at a public place and would end up going way too long without a shower because of it. I so envy people who can use public restrooms.

You can use a sharpie or dark furniture polish on the nicks and scrathes on your floor before you seal it. Personally, I think it adds character, and will look fabulous!

I watch a few of these podcasts and I really like yours but it always Amazes me actually ladies that seem to really have it together think they need a therapist guess I just don't understand why therapy is necessary . I think If you were to reach out to the Lord instead of a therapist you would find it much much more therapeutic. Sometimes people think that reaching and and being in relationship with the Lord is weak but actually you will find such strength in it. He could be closer than a friend And a healer of all pain. Something to think about God bless. (cheaper to) He loves you already more than you love your dog guaranteed. I think you're pretty amazing too.
